Haifei copper busbar diffusion bonding equipment is developed for joining laminated copper foils and manufacturing flexible conductive connectors used in EV battery packs, energy storage systems, switchgear, transformers and other electrical assemblies.
Unlike a vacuum diffusion furnace, this equipment uses a medium-frequency power source, a high-current secondary circuit, graphite tooling and axial pressure to heat and consolidate the selected area of a copper foil stack. The process forms a compact end without adding solder or brazing filler, allowing the bonded section to be drilled, punched, bent or connected to another conductor in a later operation.
The machine is not selected from the busbar width alone. Individual foil thickness, number of layers, total stack thickness, bonded dimensions, required end thickness and production rate all affect the required heating capacity and pressure system.

What Is This Equipment Designed to Produce?
The equipment is primarily intended for flexible conductive parts made by stacking multiple layers of copper foil and consolidating one or more defined sections.

Selected copper foil and nickel sheet combinations can be evaluated when nickel is required at the contact or connection area.
The nickel grade, thickness, overlap structure and required joint test must be provided before the machine configuration is confirmed. Copper-only parameters should not be used directly for a copper-to-nickel product.

The pressure-system name does not determine welding quality by itself. Heating capacity, secondary-circuit design, tooling, cooling and process control must be matched to the same workpiece.

1.Is this a vacuum diffusion bonding machine?
No. This equipment uses local electrical heating, graphite tooling and axial pressure to consolidate copper foil busbars. It does not use a vacuum chamber or furnace heating.
2.Can one machine produce several copper busbar sizes?
Possibly. The machine must have enough current, pressure and working space for the largest product. Each bonded-end dimension normally requires corresponding graphite tooling and an approved welding recipe.
3.Can the equipment weld tinned copper foil?
Tinned copper foil can be evaluated, but the coating thickness and required surface result must be provided. The process settings may differ from those used for bare copper.
4.How many copper foil layers can be bonded?
There is no reliable universal layer limit. Layer quantity must be assessed together with individual foil thickness, total stack thickness and bonded area.
5.Can the bonded end be punched after welding?
Yes, when the compacted area has been designed and tested for the subsequent punching operation. Hole size, distance from the edge and required end thickness should be included in the drawing.
6.Does the machine require a water chiller?
It requires a stable circulating-water supply. An industrial chiller is normally needed when the customer does not have a suitable factory cooling system.
