Industrial Welding Machine & Custom Welding Solutions
Haifei manufactures industrial welding machine for copper and aluminium conductors, automotive components, electrical parts, wire harnesses and fabricated metal products.
Our product range includes diffusion welding machines, resistance welding machines, ultrasonic metal welding machine, customized welding automation, consumables and supporting equipment. Customers can choose a stand-alone machine, application-specific tooling, semi-automatic equipment or a complete production line according to the workpiece and production requirements.
The right equipment depends on more than material thickness or machine power. The workpiece material, joint structure, weld position, required output, loading method and acceptance standard must be evaluated together.
Send us your part drawing, material information and production target. Our engineers will help identify the appropriate welding process and direct you to the relevant equipment category.

Welding Solutions by Material
Material is the first factor in process selection, but it is not the only one. Parts made from the same metal may require different processes because of differences in thickness, coating, joint design and required performance.
Choose Welding Equipment by Material
| Material | Commonly evaluated process | Recommended category |
|---|---|---|
| Copper foils and flexible busbars | Diffusion welding | Copper Diffusion Welding Machines |
| Solid copper parts and electrical contacts | Resistance or application-specific welding | Resistance Welding Machines |
| Copper wires and terminals | Ultrasonic metal welding | Ultrasonic Welding Machines |
| Aluminium foils and flexible conductors | Diffusion welding | Aluminium Diffusion Welders |
| Aluminium wires and terminals | Ultrasonic metal welding | Ultrasonic Welding Machines |
| Nickel, nickel-plated parts and steel components | Resistance welding | Resistance Welding Machines |
| Copper-aluminium or other mixed-metal assemblies | Process evaluation and sample testing | Custom Welding Solutions |
The table provides an initial direction rather than a final machine recommendation. Material grade, coating, weld area and acceptance criteria should be reviewed before the process is confirmed.

Welding Solutions by Application
The following guide helps buyers narrow the equipment range according to the part being manufactured.
Application-Based Welding Equipment Selection
| Application | Main welding requirement | Possible process | Suggested equipment |
| Flexible copper or aluminium busbars | Consolidate laminated foils while retaining a flexible section | Diffusion welding | Diffusion Welding Equipment |
| EV battery conductive components | Controlled heat input, repeatable joints and production traceability | Diffusion, resistance or ultrasonic welding | EV Welding Solutions |
| Wire harnesses and terminals | Join stranded conductors without excessive damage | Ultrasonic metal welding | Ultrasonic Welding Equipment |
| Switchgear and electrical components | Stable positioning and repeatable conductive joints | Resistance or diffusion welding | Busbar and Electrical Welding Solutions |
| Automotive nuts, brackets and metal parts | High-volume welding, feeding and error prevention | Resistance welding and automation | Automotive Welding Solutions |
| Fuel tanks and sealed sheet-metal parts | Continuous and leak-resistant seams | Resistance seam welding | Resistance Welding Machines |
A product name alone is not sufficient for final selection. For example, copper busbars may be laminated foils, solid bars, braided connectors or combined assemblies. Each structure can require a different welding method and tooling arrangement.

How to Choose the Right Welding Equipment?
Confirm the Material and Joint Structure
Identify the material grade, thickness, surface coating and component structure. Drawings should clearly show which parts need to be joined and the dimensions of the required welding area.
01
Define the Required Welding Result
State whether the joint must meet pull-force, peel, shear, leak, contact-resistance, temperature-rise or dimensional requirements. General descriptions such as "strong welding" do not provide a measurable basis for machine selection.
02
Check the Welding Position and Loading Space
The weld location, workpiece shape and available electrode access affect the machine structure and fixture design. Recessed, curved or multi-position joints may require customized electrodes, motion or positioning systems.
03
Calculate the Production Requirement
Provide the required parts per hour, shift or day, together with the number of product models. Moderate-volume production may only require manual loading and an automatic welding cycle, while stable high-volume production may justify automatic feeding or robot handling.
04
Decide What Process Control Is Required
Confirm whether the project needs recipe storage, parameter monitoring, component detection, production counting, traceability, reject separation or communication with other factory equipment.
05
Information to Send for Machine Selection
- Workpiece drawing and clear photographs
- Material grade, thickness and surface coating
- Marked welding position and joint dimensions
- Required mechanical or electrical test standard
- Target production output
- Number of product models
- Preferred loading and automation method
- Factory voltage, frequency, air and cooling-water conditions
If a formal drawing is not yet available, send dimensional photographs and explain the current manufacturing problem. This information can be used for an initial feasibility review.
Need a Customized Welding Machine?
A standard machine may be suitable when the weld position is accessible, the operator can load the part consistently and production volume is moderate.
A customized system should be considered when the project involves automatic feeding, several weld positions, special tooling, robot handling, inspection, traceability or integration with other production processes.
Haifei Custom Welding Equipment Process
Send Drawings and Production Requirements
Provide the workpiece drawing, material, weld position, existing process, required output and acceptance method.
01
Welding Process Evaluation
Haifei reviews the joint structure and evaluates the possible welding process, machine capacity, pressure method and tooling direction.
02
Sample Testing Where Applicable
Representative samples can be tested when process verification is necessary and suitable test equipment is available. The sample material and evaluation method should be agreed before testing.
03
Equipment and Tooling Design
The confirmed proposal may include the welding machine, electrodes, fixtures, feeding system, motion control, safety guarding, inspection and production-line interfaces.
04
Manufacturing and Factory Acceptance
The equipment is manufactured according to the technical agreement and checked using the agreed workpieces or test conditions before shipment.
05
Customized configurations may include:
- Product-specific fixtures and electrodes
- Pneumatic, hydraulic or servo pressure control
- Automatic nut, bolt or component feeding
- Robot loading and unloading
- Multi-station welding
- Recipe and parameter management
- Component-presence detection
- Process-data recording
- Reject identification and separation
- Conveyor and production-line integration

Discuss a Custom Welding Machine
FAQ
Q: Which welding machine is suitable for my workpiece?
A: Selection depends on the material, thickness, joint structure, weld position, required strength and production output. Send a workpiece drawing or clear dimensional photographs for an initial process review.
Q: Can Haifei customize a welding machine around our product?
A: Yes. The welding power, machine structure, electrodes, fixtures, motion, loading method and control sequence can be evaluated according to the workpiece and production requirements.
Q: Do we need a fully automatic welding line?
A: Not necessarily. A standard or semi-automatic machine may be more practical when production volume is moderate and manual loading is stable. Full automation is normally considered when output, labor, consistency or traceability requirements justify the investment.
Q: Can you test our workpiece before we order?
A: Sample welding can be discussed after the material, workpiece condition and acceptance method are confirmed. Testing availability depends on the welding process and whether dedicated tooling is required.
Q: Can the equipment be integrated with a robot?
A: Robot loading, unloading, positioning and communication can be included in a customized project. The workpiece presentation, cycle time, plant layout and required robot functions should be provided.
Q: Do you supply fixtures and electrodes with the machine?
A: The project scope can include application-specific fixtures, electrodes, positioning components and related tooling. The exact scope will be stated in the quotation and technical agreement.
Q: How do you determine the required welding machine capacity?
A: Capacity is evaluated according to the material, joint area, electrical conductivity, thickness, pressure requirement and production cycle. It should not be selected using material thickness alone.
Q: Can Haifei replace an existing welding machine?
A: Yes. Please provide information about the current machine, electrodes, fixtures, operating cycle and the problem you want to solve. Existing product quality and acceptance requirements should also be included.
