Adapt a Standard Welding Machine
A standard machine may provide a suitable starting point when the welding process is established but the part needs different tooling, working clearance or controls.
The review can cover electrode or graphite tooling, fixtures, pressure arrangements, loading access, cooling and operating functions. Changes that affect the welding process may require sample testing before the configuration is confirmed.
Develop a Machine for a Specific Part
Some components require a dedicated machine because their geometry, welding positions or handling requirements cannot be accommodated by a standard layout.
HAIFEI evaluates the joint and develops the machine arrangement, tooling and operating sequence around the part. The proposal defines how the component is positioned, clamped, welded and removed.
Integrate Welding into a Workstation or Production Line
For projects involving repeated handling or several production steps, the scope may include feeding, transfer, multiple welding stations and unloading.
We review which operations should be automated, which remain manual and how the equipment will connect to the surrounding production process.

If you already have an equipment specification or design, we can review it for an OEM manufacturing project. The review establishes the build scope, component requirements, testing responsibilities and available design information.
If you have a workpiece and production target but no equipment design, we can assess an ODM development project covering process evaluation, machine design, tooling and controls.
Customer branding, machine colours, interface language and documentation requirements can also be discussed. Branding arrangements, design ownership and access to drawings or software must be agreed separately.

Q: Can you develop a welding machine if we only have the part?
A: Yes. Begin with the part drawing or photographs, material details, joint requirements and target output. We will review whether the application needs a modified standard machine or a dedicated design. Representative samples may be required before the process is confirmed.
Q: Can we send samples for welding tests?
A: Sample testing can be arranged following an application review. The material, sample quantity, trial tooling, inspection method, fees and schedule are confirmed before the samples are sent.
Q: Can one machine handle several product models?
A: Possibly, depending on differences in joint position, dimensions, tooling and welding conditions. Provide the complete part range so that common fixtures, interchangeable tooling and changeover requirements can be evaluated.
Q: What determines the price of a customized welding machine?
A: The main factors include the welding process, heating or power requirements, pressure system, tooling complexity, number of stations, handling equipment and control functions. Testing, documentation and onsite services also affect the project cost.
Q: How long does a custom project take?
A: The schedule depends on design work, sample validation, tooling, component availability and automation complexity. A project schedule is provided with the proposal and updated if the approved scope changes.
Q: Do you support customer branding or specified controls?
A: These requirements can be reviewed during the proposal stage. Send the branding details, preferred components, interface requirements and communication specifications. The confirmed scope will identify what can be supplied and any development required.
Q: How do we approve the machine before shipment?
A: FAT is carried out against the agreed specification and reference parts. The acceptance arrangement may include a factory visit or agreed remote evidence such as videos, measurements and test records. Any acceptance work required at your factory should be defined separately.
Q: What support is available after delivery?
A: Support arrangements cover the supplied equipment and are defined in the agreement. They may include operating guidance, remote troubleshooting, spare parts and additional training. Onsite work and later modifications are reviewed separately.
