On September 19, 2026, WUXI HAIFEI engineers arrived at the customer's factory in Tunisia to begin the installation and commissioning of a fully automated welding production line.
This visit is the next stage of the Tunisia automation project following the shipment of the equipment earlier this year. The on-site work will cover production-line installation, system checks, process setup, trial operation and technical training.
From Equipment Delivery to On-Site Installation
Before shipment, the production line was assembled and tested at the HAIFEI factory. The equipment was then packed and transported to Tunisia according to the agreed delivery schedule.
After the line arrived at the customer's factory, the customer completed the required site preparation. Our engineers travelled to Tunisia to work with the customer's technical team and move the project into the installation stage.
Installation and Commissioning Work
A fully automated production line includes more than the welding equipment itself. The mechanical units, electrical controls, fixtures, safety devices and operating sequence must work together under the customer's actual production conditions.
During the on-site service, the HAIFEI engineering team will focus on:
- positioning and levelling the production-line equipment;
- checking electrical, pneumatic and cooling connections;
- confirming tooling and workpiece positioning;
- testing safety devices and machine interlocks;
- checking the operating sequence of each station;
- adjusting welding and production parameters;
- carrying out trial production with customer workpieces;
- training operators and maintenance personnel.
The final settings will be confirmed according to the actual workpiece, welding result and production requirements. Parameters used during factory testing may need further adjustment after the equipment is installed in the customer's working environment.
Working with the Customer's Technical Team
On-site installation allows both engineering teams to check the complete production process together. The customer's technicians can review equipment operation, workpiece loading, alarm handling and routine maintenance while the production line is being commissioned.
The HAIFEI engineers will also explain the daily inspection points and basic troubleshooting procedures. This helps the customer's operators understand the equipment before the line enters regular production.
The project will proceed through installation, individual machine checks, coordinated line testing and trial production. Formal production will begin after the agreed functions and welding results have been verified.
On-Site Support for Customized Welding Automation
Every automated welding project is different. The workpiece, welding position, loading method, cycle sequence and factory layout all affect the final equipment design.
For this reason, WUXI HAIFEI provides project support from the initial drawing review through equipment design, factory testing, shipment and overseas commissioning. On-site service helps connect the equipment design completed in China with the customer's actual manufacturing conditions.
This Tunisia project also reflects the continuing cooperation between HAIFEI and the customer. The equipment delivery is not treated as the end of the project; installation, training and production support remain part of the implementation process.
